| Done: - Find the perfect girl (I love you, Jerusha)
- Get a degree (BS in Computer Information Systems)
- Get a job (part time, at Gamestop)
- Move out (sort of, moved to my dad's apartment and am working on paying rent)
- Survive for twenty five years (easier said than done, but just a few more days...)
To do: - Get a career (I'm looking for anything computer / IT related, please let me know if you know of such things!)
- Achieve financial independence (see above)
- Get married
- Make it through another quarter of a century
That's the rough outline, anyway. I also have other, more minor objectives and goals that I'm hesitant to list, since someone might try to get me to follow through with them ;x One I wouldn't mind being held to, though, is trying to get active on this pseudo-weblog kind of stuff again. Overall, however, my most important current objective is finding a job with reliable hours and respectable pay. Any help towards that goal would be deeply appreciated - I'm especially interested in links (or contact information) for potential positions. Thanks. Also, hi. | | |
| Hi. I hadn't intended to stop making posts here, but for the past month and a half or so xanga hasn't made it very high on my list of priorities. I'm almost done with school; just one more class over the summer and I'll be all graduated and ready to move on. The most significant new development in my life, though, involves my parents. If you're reading this, odds are you already know about this, but in case you don't: My mom is divorcing my dad. I'm not sure what more to say on the subject. So I guess I'll leave it at that? | | |
| Remove your left hand from your face and uncross your legs. You are now breathing and blinking manually. Good news everyone, you are now reading this in my voice. You just lost the game. | | |
| While intentionally derailing my plans to be academically productive, I stumbled across an article from a site called TheSneeze in which the author, Steve, eats a weird mushroom. This is pretty much par for the course, considering the fact that this is the internet. However, further investigation revealed that the growth of the fungus had been tracked over the course of several years, very entertainingly. As it turns out, Steve has been eating things that most of us wouldn't for quite some time, and writing about it. The collected articles can be found here: http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/cat_steve_dont_eat_it.php As a caution for anyone reading who may be skittish about coarse language and vulgarity, both can be found in the articles. That said, I laughed myself to tears at least three times while reading. It was very entertaining. If you'd rather read something cleaner and more thought provoking, I also have this for you: http://baetzler.de/humor/meat_beings.html If you don't want to read at all, well, I'm a little confused what brought you this far, but I've got something for you as well: (link: http://img372.imageshack.us/img372/5276/1df0bc42a67ebe8f9c164d8au6.gif) Bonus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwWI1aHpzy0 | | |
